Thom, read this . . .
Thom, you might find the following posts interesting. If you aren't able to read them before we meet, that's cool. (They ARE long. Your mouse-finger will be tired.) It's just some conversation fodder - like that would be a problem! ha! But it's also to let you know what I've been wrestling with since we got together last time.
(Oct 6) Thoughts on the Emergent Church
(Oct 6) The Evil of Evangelism
(Sep 24) Does God have a sense of humour?
(Sep 26) Does God have a sense of humour? Revisited
(Sep 16) Do you really want the love that's in MY heart?
I'll delete this post after tomorrow.

hei :)
thanks for your book suggestions.
you wrote that mentoring is 'your passion' - I hope I can 'pick your brains from time to time? If so, would it be ok to email you?
Hate to be a bother Michael but I have been trying & trying to set up a "link" section in my template. Copy & pasted the url and still can't seem to get a link section.
Any suggestions? Is there an easier way to get to other people's blogs?
Lorna,
Feel free to email me anytime.

Michael
Janice,
I understand, I wrestled with so much of this at first too, and I had a really great library book on using blogger. It's called, "Publishing a blog with Blogger" by Elizabeth Castro. If your local library has it, it could be very helpful.
After typing out all the code in here, step by step, to answer you question, Blogger would not let me include that code in this comment because it read it as HTML code.
So, instead I recommend that you go to the Blogger Help section:

I've found "Blogger Help" to be, well, rather helpful.
Good luck.
Thom,
I guess I won't delete this post afterall. :)
Michael
Lorna,
I would also highly recommend a great book called, "Sacred Companions:The Gift of Spiritual Friendship and Direction" by David G. Benner.
Another book by Benner that I really appreciate is, "The Gift of Being Yourself: The Sacred Call to Self-Discovery".
Both of these books could be very valuable in your mentoring ministry.
In His Grace,
Michael
